Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 June 2026
NAGORIE is built for the life behind the life. That only works if your moments stay yours. We don’t sell your data, we don’t run ads, and we don’t measure you with public scores. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over it.
Who we are
NAGORIE (“NAGORIE”, “we”, “us”) operates the website and application at nagorie.com. For any privacy question, contact hello@nagorie.com.
What we collect
We collect only what the product needs to work:
- Account — your email, name, username (handle), and a securely hashed password (handled by our authentication provider; we never see your raw password).
- Profile — anything you add, such as a bio, location text, and avatar.
- Drops — the content you post: moment text, photos, voice clips, the place name, and (if you allow it) approximate coordinates of where a drop was made.
- Echo — a drop’s private reflection. It is visible only to you and is never shown to anyone else.
- Connections — your Circle membership, who you witness, and who you block.
- Settings — your privacy and appearance preferences (for example, whether you appear in Ripple).
- Technical — basic, aggregated usage and device data needed to keep the service secure and reliable.
Location
Ripple shows moments near you, so a drop can carry an approximate location. Location is only ever used with your device’s permission, and you can turn off Appear in Ripple in your settings at any time. We do not continuously track your location in the background.
How we use your data
- To run the core product — your feeds (Ripple, Circle, Mirror), composing drops, witnessing, your Circle of 150, and compiling your yearly Chapter.
- To send essential account email, such as confirmation and security messages.
- To keep NAGORIE safe — preventing abuse, enforcing blocks, and securing accounts.
We do not use your moments to train advertising profiles, we do not sell or rent your personal data, and there are no third-party ad trackers in NAGORIE.
Who can see your drops
Visibility is decided by you and by relationships — not by us broadcasting your content. Circle drops are seen by your Circle; Ripple and Mirror visibility depend on your privacy settings; Echo is always private to you. Access is enforced at the database level with row-level security, so people only ever see what they are permitted to.
Service providers
We share data only with the vendors that run the service on our behalf, under contract:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
- Resend — sending transactional email.
- Vercel — hosting and privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics.
Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete individual drops at any time, and deleting your account permanently erases your profile, drops, Echoes, and Chapters from our systems (allowing a short window for backups to expire).
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. Much of this is available directly in your settings; for anything else, email hello@nagorie.com and we’ll respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK under GDPR or California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights, including to object to or restrict certain processing.
Children
NAGORIE is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires). We do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
Changes
We may update this policy as NAGORIE evolves. We’ll change the date above and, for material changes, let you know in the app or by email.
